Cancellation Fee

If you need to re-schedule or cancel your service for any reason please give us at least 24 hours notice to avoid a cancellation fee of $59.

Trip Charge

SmartLab serves the entire Portland Metro area. From Battle Ground to Wilsonville and Hillsboro to Gresham. We do have $15 trip charge for areas further than 15 miles from our office.

Privacy Policy

We may from time to use information we have collected such as e-mail addresses or mailing address to contact you. This information will be kept confidential and will never be released or sold to anyone, unless required by law. Should you wish to not be contacted via email please email remove@smartlabcr.com.

Same Day Service Promise

We promise to provide same day services to anyone in our service area who calls before 1pm.

Service Warranty

If we are unable to provide a resolution to your problem, you are welcome to a 100% refund within 5 days of service. However, we request that you give us the option of a second visit with an alternative technician to remedy the problem. For repairs caused by viruses or spyware, the service refund/warranty only applies when the system has an approved Anti-Virus and Spyware application installed and active following the repair. Here is a list of approved applications.

After Hours Service

SmartLab is open Monday - Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 10am-4pm and Sunday (By Appointment Only). Any service requested outside the hours stated above will be performed by our parent company (WhizKids) and will be charged according to WhizKids after hour rates.

Services Limitation of Liability, Remedies and Damages

CUSTOMER AGREES THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE SHALL SMARTLAB LLC. OR ANY OF IT AFFILIATES HAVE ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY COMPENSATORY, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PRODUCTION, LOSS OF DATA OR COST OF REPLACEMENT HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT THE PERFORMANCE OF CERTAIN REPAIR SERVICES TO CUSTOMERS HARDWARE BY SMARTLAB OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES MAY VOID CERTAIN MANUFACTURE WARRANTIES. CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND AGREES THAT UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL SMARTLAB LLC, OR ANY OF ITS AFFILIATES HAVE ANY LIABILITY WHATSOEVER FOR ANY ACTUAL, COMPENSATORY, PUNITIVE, SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTALM OR CONSEQUENTIAL, DAMAGES AS A RESULT OF THE VOIDING OF ANY SUCH WARRANTIES. THE WARRANTIES SET FORTH ABOVE ARE IN LIEU OF ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING, BY NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ALL OF WHICH ARE EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMED. Hardware and Software Warranty/Returns

All hardware and software we sell is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. We do not act as a wholesaler. Hardware can only be returned if you are experiencing technical difficulties with the new hardware. If this is the case please let us know as soon as possible as return period are time-sensitive. Labor will be covered for 30 days on all hardware installed by a SmartLab technician. Our preferred vendor for equipment is Dell. Please ask if you would like a quote from another vendor.

Scheduling

We schedule appointments Monday thru Friday 10AM-7PM and Saturday 11AM-5PM. Sunday appointments may be scheduled on a case by case basis. We offer after-hours emergency support through our parent company WhizKids for $125/hr. They should be contacted directly at 888-830-8884 ext 5.

Work Authorization

A person at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire time period services are provided. If no adult is present when the SmartLab technician arrives, services will be denied and a $59 cancellation fee will apply.

Responsibility

It is the customer's responsibility to back up all software and data on your computer's hard drive(s) and/or any other storage devices before the SmartLab technician begins work. SmartLab and/or its affiliates shall not be responsible at any time for a any loss, alteration, or corruption of any software, data, or files.

Access

The SmartLab technician must have 1) access to your residence or business and the computer(s) and/or peripheral(s) to be services, 2) your consent and cooperation to enter your residence or business, 3) a safe working environment, work space (please remove all dogs from the computer area), and 4)electrical power. If the SmartLab technician determined that these conditions have not been met, service will be denied and a cancellation fee of $59 will apply.

Payment Options

SmartLab accepts the following forms of payment cast, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We charge a $30 fee for all returned checks.
